Inspection fixture (foreign name: fixture for inspection) is a mechanical engineering term published in 2021, referring to a device used to clamp or install the workpiece to be tested for inspection when inspecting the size and shape parameters of workpieces and assemblies . According to function, it can be divided into P.G (sheet metal inspection), O.G (body opening size inspection), U.G (assembly inspection fixture), UCF (pre-assembly condition inspection), etc. Structurally, it consists of a base, inspection base surface, positioning pin, clamping device, profile and cross-sectional template.
This device is used in the production of automotive molds and stamping parts to detect the error of parameters such as profile, contour, and hole position. Its manufacturing technology was first seen in the 1986 "Mechanical Manufacturing" literature. It uses standard samples or molds as references and forms inspection references by replicating the curved surface features of standard samples through curing epoxy resin . It is mainly used in the fields of cylinder block precision inspection of key components in engine manufacturing and shaft parts inspection of mechanical equipment.
